Benefits
- Explored a new campus of an international university.
- Communicated with different students and professors from various universities.
- First time presenting my research work in a multinational occurrence.
- An attractive addition to my research experience which would benefit me when I apply for graduate studies.
Challenges
Since this was my first time traveling alone and experiencing such an event, I was a bit lost, especially during the first day. Presenting a work in a research event like this in front of experts in this field made it even more challenging. But this makes it interesting and appealing, especially when you know that the next occurrences won’t be in this way and that you developed and acquired the experience needed to be better in the future.
Conclusion
Since my first day at KFUPM, it was mainly about being exposed to a bunch of new situations in my life. While it gives uncomfortable, difficult, and lost feelings at the beginning, it certainly helped majorly in shaping the change in my personality and experience from the one I had when I graduated from high school.
