The Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with the various university departments, organized the Orientation Program for new students (class of 2023), which is usually held at the beginning of each year. The program was in two stages, it began online as virtual meetings with male and female students during which they were introduced to the university and its rules, with a focus on the preparatory year program. Meetings were also held with officials of student affairs, admission and registration, and the preparatory year, who answered the student questions.

After that, the students were received at the university, where they were given their university ID cards and university housing for eligible students. The process was characterized by convenience and smoothness, as each student completed his reception procedures in less than five minutes. Then, the placement tests in English and mathematics began, and students obtain their timetable and books for each of them.

The program included the organization of various sporting and cultural events and activities, and visits to some touristic monuments in the region, in which student clubs contributed.
