First Meeting for Students with Special Needs

The Deanship of Student Affairs at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), represented by the Office for Students with Special Needs, organized its first meeting for students with disabilities on Tuesday evening, March 5, 2024. Held at University Boulevard, the event brought together members of the Committee of Special Needs, university administrators, and students of various abilities.

 

The Director-General of Student Affairs opened the meeting by welcoming attendees and reaffirming the university’s commitment to supporting students with disabilities. He highlighted the significance of such events in promoting unity and inclusion, ensuring that every student finds their rightful place and role within the university community. He emphasized the university’s dedication to enhancing the quality of life for all students, adding that the gathering provided an essential platform for open dialogue and mutual understanding.

 

The meeting featured a productive discussion between students and committee members, during which students shared the challenges they face in their academic and social lives on campus. Participants also collaborated to explore potential solutions to address these concerns and improve accessibility.
